The Father’s Perfect Peace: Opportunity To Grow Up Your Faith

January 15, 2024 Posted by Margo Fieseler Uncategorized

“But you asked God for help and he gave you the victory. God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him. You were foolish to go for human help when you could have had God’s help.”
2 Chronicles 16: 8-10

Where do you turn for help? Who is your go-to person? The one who is ALWAYS there?

Well, if it isn’t God, you are settling for only human help. God sees the big picture. He knows the end from the beginning. We only see a snapshot. God knows ALL. We only know in part. God is all-powerful. Humans? Not so much.

God WANTS you to ask Him for help. He designed you that way. He loves to care for you. Intimately. After all, your Manufacturer knows how you work best.

Here’s the dilemma…you start to trust Him, but when you don’t see immediate results, you turn to the ones you can see. And so the cycle begins. Asking others for their advice, their opinions. Hoping in their answers instead of waiting on the All-Knowing God and in the meantime He is giving you the opportunity to grow up your faith. After all, “It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.” ‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭6

You have come to a crisis of belief. Either God is who He says He is…or He isn’t. There is no fence standing. “He is ALWAYS on the alert, constantly on the lookout, for people who are totally committed to Him.”

What? He is looking out for me? And meanwhile, instead of gratefully holding His hand for each step, I scour my posse to see who can advise me. “You were foolish to go for human help when you could have had God’s help.”

God, let me turn to you first. May You be my only thought. My go-to. My All-in-All. You know what is best for me. I desire to be loyal to you, so as Your eyes go to-and-fro the earth looking for those who are steadfast to You…You will stop on me and smile knowingly.

The Father’s Joy: Real Refreshment!

Mar 18, 2015

"In your great love revive me so I can alertly obey your every word. What you say goes, God, and stays, as permanent as the heavens. Your truth never goes out of fashion; it’s as up-to-date as the earth when the sun comes up. Your Word and truth are dependable as ever; that’s what you ordered—you set the earth going." Psalm 119:90-93 MSG How do you get revived? Rejuvenated? Refreshed? Does a well-timed nap do it? A day at the spa? Taking a walk? Talking to a friend? Praying? The Psalmist, David, knew that God"s great love...His unconditional love...would revive him. And where did he run to personally experience that love? God's Great Love Story...aka God's Word...the Bible. He had the settled joy, the settled hope that what God says, goes. No debate. No doubt. Just trusting in God's unfailing, "permanent-as-the- heavens" Word. That's WHY he could be revived. He didn't wish that what God said was true. He KNEW! He was declaring that his personal YHWH God, and His spoken Word, IS truth and "dependable as ever." David knew where to run to be revived. He knew WHO would revive him. Before David needed to be refreshed, He knew The Refresher. That's important. If you don't know who to run to BEFORE you need Him, you will end up stewing in your circumstances or running aimlessly after all the wrong things and wrong people. And here's the clincher! What was David's purpose in being revived? "So I can alertly obey your every word!" He ran to God's Word to be revived so he could know His every Word. Why? To obey! To do the next right thing! What? Yup, there's the answer to being revived.. Know God. Know His Word. Be revived. Obey His Word to... Know God. Know His Word Be revived. Obey His Word to... What real refreshment...God-style! And the deeper you go with Him, the deeper your personal revival! His Word will never fail you, only rejuvenate!

FROM THE COMMUNUTY

Yesterday my mom fell again walking outdoors at her apartment…She is okay & was released from hospital after a few hours. On the drive to West Bend after we got the call…I found complete peace just loving my God & knowing He was in control of the situation no matter what it was. And then reading your devotion today made my heart cry out with a love for Him that can’t be put into words.
Thank you & thank you & thank you for listening & obeying the Lord.
