The Father’s Faithfulness: Everything Is Every Thing!

May 13, 2025 Posted by Margo Fieseler Uncategorized

“We look at this Son (Jesus) and see the God who cannot be seen.

We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created.

For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in Him and finds its purpose in Him.

He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment.”

Colossians 1:15-17 MSG

What do you live for? Getting more and more stuff? Going more and more places? Planning more and more outings? When is the “more and more” going to be enough? When will you be satisfied?

Well, the Apostle Paul shares that “everything got started in Jesus, God’s Son, and everything finds its purpose in Him.”

So, your real purpose—that nagging void inside you—is drawing you to be filled with Jesus. Only Jesus can satisfy as “EVERYTHING finds its purpose in Him.”

That includes absolutely everything! And everything is every thing! Including everything above and below. Everything visible and invisible. Every angel. Everything created. That includes me. That includes you.

So, if you’re existing to accumulate wealth, stuff, fame, honor-roll kids, temporary fixes of happiness—those will soon fade from your view. (No permanent satisfaction there.)

Turn to the One that was “there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment.”

And since we can only hold onto this moment, as we don’t know about the next, why live to accumulate the stuff that doesn’t last? Live a purpose-filled life. One that only Jesus can provide.

FROM THE COMMUNUTY

Yesterday my mom fell again walking outdoors at her apartment…She is okay & was released from hospital after a few hours. On the drive to West Bend after we got the call…I found complete peace just loving my God & knowing He was in control of the situation no matter what it was. And then reading your devotion today made my heart cry out with a love for Him that can’t be put into words.
Thank you & thank you & thank you for listening & obeying the Lord.
