It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children. And we know we are going to get what’s coming to us—an unbelievable inheritance!”

Have you ever received an inheritance? Maybe from your parents, grandparents, or great uncle?
Well, the inheritance that you WILL receive from your Father God is amazingly unbelievable, but only IF you belong to His family. You need to be in the family, earthly or heavenly, to get what is coming to you. (Just like an earthly father doesn’t give his estate to any Joe or Sally walking down the street. So it is with Father God.)
How can you make sure you’re in God’s family? The Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 8, “your old do-it-yourself life needs a decent burial so you can get on with your new life.” And that new life comes through the Holy Spirit living in you. “God’s Spirit touches our spirit and confirms who we really are.” We are God’s children!
Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we have been made children of the Heavenly Father. Hallelujah! What a gift! The right standing before God can only be through His Son, Jesus Christ! He desires for us to be His family BUT you need to accept that Jesus is “the only way, the only truth and the only life. No one comes to the Father but through Jesus.” (John 14:6)
Oh, you may WANT to be co-heirs with Christ. You obviously desire the extravagant inheritance from the Father, but the fact of the matter is you need to be in right standing with Him through His Son first. You need to be God’s child. And that’s an easy fix. Acts 2:21 says, “And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
So what are you waiting for? Not only will you have this powerful resurrection life you’ve received from God as an earth dweller but you have even more to look forward to. “And you know you are going to get what’s coming to you…an unbelievable inheritance!! Woo Hoo! That’s a win-win!
And the best part? Our inheritance will never run out! NEVER! Eternally, we will be more than satisfied with our inheritance from the hand of the Father through His Son, Jesus.
