“For my part, I am going to boast about nothing but the Cross of our Master, Jesus Christ.
Because of that Cross, I have been crucified in relation to the world, set free from the stifling atmosphere of pleasing others and fitting into the little patterns that they dictate.
Can’t you see the central issue in all this? It is not what you and I do… It is what God is doing, and he is creating something totally new, a free life!
All who walk by this standard are the true Israel of God—his chosen people. Peace and mercy on them! Galatians 6:14-16
Do you walk in freedom? Not the freedom that our country provides, but REAL freedom! The freedom that only Jesus can give.
Jesus set the captives free at the cross. That’s me! That’s you! But that freedom is yours to accept…only through His crucifixion. You and I couldn’t do that. Only Master Jesus could totally obliterate your past, present and future sin. And by believing He did that for you…you are suddenly free!
Understand this with all your heart, soul, mind and strength…Jesus has set you free! You now live before an audience of One! Your desire is to please Him with all you think, say and do!
How can you not? You are so grateful for what He did for you, like the Apostle Paul, you want nothing more than to boast of Jesus. Your eyes are FIXED on the Author and Perfecter of your faith. And no one’s approval or disapproval, other than your Master’s…matters anymore.
No longer do you have to walk in the “approval fix.” That stifling atmosphere of pleasing others and fitting into little pattens they dictate.
You don’t need to, as He takes care of all the rest. Your one desire is to act rightly before Him. You are not responsible for other’s reactions. You are not bound to anyone except your Master Jesus and ironically, that binding sets you free!!
“To those who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32
God created a totally new life in you, through His Son’s death and resurrection. He did it all. Your part is to believe and accept this truth…”so if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.” John 8:36
