The Father’s Faithfulness: Always Pursuing You

May 15, 2025 Posted by Margo Fieseler Uncategorized

“Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus.

Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it.

It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving.”

Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭7-9 MSG

Are you trying to reach God? By being good enough? By going to church enough? By giving enough? By serving the poor enough?

You must be tired exerting all that constant energy trying to please God enough to receive His nod. To be accepted into His family. To be saved.

News flash! All your vigorous efforts. All your good intentions will never be enough. But, don’t be discouraged. There is good news! Actually, GREAT news!

Saving is all God’s idea! And ALL His work!  It’s God’s gift! He does the creating. He does the saving. He does the giving. He initiates the relationship. He pursues us. He does it all!

So, what is required of us? TRUST. Trusting Him enough to let Him do it all. This is where we bungle it all up. We attach our thinking, our way of doing things, onto His all-comprehensive plan, exclaiming, “That can’t possibly be enough! We must DO something to be accepted by the Beloved.”

Well, we have already DONE something. That’s why, in His love and mercy (not getting what we deserve), through Jesus Christ, He has provided a way for His “little dust balls”, that He created in His image, to be saved.

He’s the One who plays the major role. (Thank You, God as we would take the bragging rights.) We are to gladly take the back seat and trust He knows the way to navigate.

Sit back and enjoy. No need to drive. He’s got it!

FROM THE COMMUNUTY

Yesterday my mom fell again walking outdoors at her apartment…She is okay & was released from hospital after a few hours. On the drive to West Bend after we got the call…I found complete peace just loving my God & knowing He was in control of the situation no matter what it was. And then reading your devotion today made my heart cry out with a love for Him that can’t be put into words.
Thank you & thank you & thank you for listening & obeying the Lord.
