Have you ever called to a person and…no response? Maybe across a room to your friend. Or, perhaps to your daughter, who is playing with the dog. Or, your son, who is doing his homework.
No answer. Not even a nod of the head. Definitely within earshot…and still no response. Maybe they were deep in thought. Maybe they were actively engaged in what they were doing. Maybe they heard and just chose to ignore your voice. You called but no answer.
Well, there is One who will always hear your call. Always. And not only will He hear your voice…He will answer you. Not just a polite recognition of “I heard you,” but a response to your exact call.
He never chooses to look away and pretend you didn’t call. He is THRILLED that you chose to call Him. He is at-the-ready to answer you and “tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.” Now THAT’S the Person to always call. To have first on your smartphone “Favorites”.
God wants you to call Him. Call to Him. In everything. Every situation. Every decision. Every detail. Nothing is too big or too small for Him. So just call.
Remember His promise…He will always answer. And it’s a promise with dividends! Not only does He answer but will tell you “inside scoop”. His marvelous and wondrous ways are yours for the calling.
Remember, He is God who made earth. Made it livable. Made it lasting. He is known everywhere as God. He comes with impressive credentials. And He is at your disposal just for the calling. (Steep in that thought for awhile.)
And why wouldn’t you want to call a Person who desires to respond to your personal call? He promises to listen and answer.
The question is if you will respond to Him. To His answer.
